Review of 2019: After the Fall of New York (1983) by Jason D — 15 Dec 2009
In between the two Bronx movies Castellari shot this post-apocalyptic masterpiece, essentially a cheap mash-up of Mad Max and classic westerns. Giancarlo Prete (Scorpion) and Fred Williamson team up to take on the Templars led by George Eastman.
Castellariâ??s vision of the future seems to be to give everyone white outfits with big shoulder-pads and paint a load of VW Beetles silver and add a few sharp edges. And of course thereâ??s still plenty of flamethrower action! Hilarious fun, this is actually my favourite of the Bronx Warriors trilogy.
