This film is very revolutionary. It's special effects go far beyond what had been done before. Stanley Kubrick uses amazing visuals to tell a unique story. Also, the music pretty coll. I think it was a smart idea to use non-original music for the soundtrack.
This is the greatest science fiction film ever made.
