Review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) by Robert N — 10 Feb 2009
Quite the fantastical story and set-up. I love the ocean and its mysteries, and this movie captures its wonders quite splendidly. Captain Nemo is such a grand, enigmatic character, and Kurt Douglas was beaming with energy. The only thing was that after the promise of sea-monsters and epic battles, the ending was a little bit anti-climatic, or at least not as grand as it could have been.
7.5/10.
