Review of 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957) by Gordon C — 19 Mar 2008
I liked the bit where the Colonel says of the creature, "They're only ferocious when provoked," and proceeds to provoke it. Perhaps he meant to demonstrate the point? It's also nice that the Colonel spends the first half of the movie insisting that the creature mustn't be killed, but before long everyone's doing their damnedest to do just that (including the Colonel himself).
The scene where the creature fights an elephant is particularly well done.
As for that final question, "Why does it always cost so much for Man to move from the present into the future?" Maybe it's so that we don't throw caution to the winds...
