We know the tale of Bruno Mars and how he became a star after being strictly a songwriter for others. In this documentary, we get to know the background singers who are talented enough to be stars themselves but seemed unable to navigate the star system.
Particularly damning are those who recorded hit songs only to see their work accredited to others. These performers have never received their proper recognition.
