Review of 2 Days in New York (2012) by Omar A — 29 Jan 2013
I've watched the trailer and given the ratings warnings, it may be as good or not as good as 2 Days in Paris. Chris Rock is a more appealing looking actor than Adam (from the first film) and may bring a lot to this film.
"2 Days in New York" is a great and very funny, weird sequel to "2 Days in Paris" and Chris Rock is a perfect romantic and comic foil to Julie Delpy's Marion. The weird family of Marion, minus her now deceased mom, namely her sister and her dad come to visit Marion and her current mate (she and Jack having had a daughter and later breaking up with each other). 10/10.
By the way, for those of you who are wondering about "2 Days in New York" - it was not released to local theatres or to local stores even....there is a dvd rental machine outside of Penticton's Walmart (Penticton, BC, Canada) and the machine includes Julie Delpy's "2 Days in New York"!
Another win for movie lovers, seeing as the mainstream studio system continues to let movie lovers down and down again, time after time.
