Yes the movie was not impressive but there's a moral lesson behind the story line. Its really for a family movie. As you're watching the movie at first you will wonder and ask yourself 'why do I even watch this movie? Its so plain and just like that with all Zac Efron's x factor'. but no its not just like that.
Its more of a life changing movie especially for families today. :P The story line is great actually. It reflects many families that don't have strong bond with each other.
Thus, you should give it a break, this movie's fun in way with those twists and turns :).
