The film starts off slow, but this serves to ramp up the tension to its fever pitch in the climactic scenes. While watching this movie, I actually thought that this was a crazy idea and that there couldn't possibly be people who not only willingly participate in competitive Russian roulette, but bet on it as well.
One of the DVD extras features an interview with a French man who claims to have played and won multiple times! Which made the film all the more chilling.
