Review of 127 Hours (2010) by Collier W — 24 Sep 2012
James Franco is magnetic in the role of Aron Ralston, who endures five days of agony until a brave choice grants him his freedom. It's a gruesome scene to be sure, but I was on his side hoping that he'd succeed.
He does, and so does the movie. Kudos to director Danny Boyle who cowrote the script with Simon Beaufoy and the DP duo of Anthony Dod Mantle and Enrique Chediak, who recreate Aron's 127 hours in the canyon with painstaking accuracy.
