Review of 12 Angry Men (1957) by Rhys G — 01 Dec 2012
While it's conceptually brilliant, there's always the risk of this material failing and seeming more like a piece of theatre than film. Lumet masters the form, creating a tense and spellbinding film, delivering the notion of uncertainty and pre-assumption through a camera that slowly and slowly gets closer as the tension continues to build.
Brilliant debut.
