Review of 12 Angry Men (1957) by All_Buttru4 — 29 Jun 2022
For sometime I've known about this movie but had been unable to motivate myself to see it,this wasn't because of it's age but I felt it could really be figured out without needing to see it: the one juror would eventually convince everyone and the young Puerto Rican boy would be saved.
And sure as I presumed it would happen like that but this isn't a mystery. This is not a who dun it,instead it's a philosophical quandary on the the ethics of truth. It's objective is to show just how easily one's idea of the truth can change and what that can be done by which is especially relevant to the time period of the 50's.
It effectively through exaggerated characters confronts classism, racism, macarthisim and generational divides without making it's intent glaringly obvious .
