Review of 12 Angry Men (1957) by Mark Q — 31 Oct 2012
A bona-fide screen classic, which takes the audience right into the middle of a discussion of one of the most important decisions one can ever make - to send a man to die or to set him free!! The cast serve the magnificent script well, which has us rooting for the moral centrepiece of the story, the one man who stands to further analyze the case before making the vote.
Lumet's brilliant direction keeps the tension ticking over, making the film as claustrophobic & gripping as possible, without actually being in that one room!!!
