Review of Videodrome (1983) by Buddy K — 16 Jun 2009
Disturbing hallucinatory scenes and imaginative gore effects from the master of body horror David Cronenberg rock the house in this forgotten hororr classic. James Woods is good as the sleazeball protagonist and carries the picture well but the real star is the bizzare premise and it's original gore effects.
Falls right in between The Fly and A History of Violence as the 2nd best Cronenberg flick I've seen so far. Not for everyone but worth watching if you want to see something imaginative, disturbing and unique.
