Review of Videodrome (1983) by Abby A — 14 Feb 2018
An all time favourite of mine. Signature Cronengerg body horror oozes from the screen and evokes a domestic transposition of HR Geiger. The best example of bio mechanical grotesquerie next to Naked Lunch, Videodrome leaves the screen pulsating and inflamed while burying into your brain.
James Woods performance is superb, and the film's message regarding the media is still relevant today.
