Review of The Servant (1963) by Nick L — 18 Jun 2007
James Fox and Dirk Bogarde are the Master and Servant in this acerbic yet surreal dissection of the British class system on the cusp on the Swinging Sixities. Ahead-of-its-time direction from Joseph Losey and your typically superb screenplay from an on-form Harold Pinter underline why this might be one of my very favourite films.
