Review of Surveillance (2008) by Robin S — 29 Aug 2010
The film is directed by Jennifer Lynch who is the daughter of (in my opinion) the best director/writer in the world David Lynch (Mulholland Dr., Blue Velvet Twin Peaks, etc.). Coming from the Lynch stable I had nothing but high expectations for this film and those expectations actually pay off. It's got everything in this film, suspence, black comedy, GORE, and even a twist to it (which I never saw coming in a million years).
Bill Pullman is the finest I've ever seen him since probably Lost Highway, never thought I'd say it but he's even hilarious in parts. Julia Ormond is a surprisingly good addition to the cast too.
Nothing less than a five start film, both terrifying and brilliantly spectacular! What a find!!
