The story is so well narrated, especially the sequences in the Roman Circus when the christians are haunted by the lions. The performance of Peter Ustinov as Nero is one of the greatest shown on the screen.
The musical score and the color give those overwhelming and powerful aspects that make it a remarkable epic.
