I first saw "new york, new york" when I was in my early 20's at the oxford (now known as luna leederville). it was a fav of the drag queens I know at the time, as they had all performed parts of it in drag shows at one time or another.
it's set in post war time, and it's a classic musical, with great music performed by liza minnelli and others. no wonder liza became one of the worlds biggest fag-hags.
