Review of My House in Umbria (2003) by Wing L — 18 Aug 2007
Definitely my favorite Maggie Smith performance from this film next to her other works such Gosford Park and California Suite. She brilliantly plays an eccentric woman haunted by traumatic early life experiences, and her friendship with a young girl in town has made a spiritual impact on her.
A very moving ending to watch. This film features a very beautiful landscape and it's certainly a must-see for Maggie fans!
