Review of The Bride with White Hair (1993) by Wing L — 17 Aug 2007
This is one of my favorite period HK action movie, and it's one of the best roles played by Brigette Lin when she was at the top of her career after turning in a career revival performance as a transgendered villian in The East is Red.
Bride is very lavish and the actions and special effects were as good as it could get at the time. Got to mention that she got to wear the Mongolian wedding dress that was the most expensive costume ever built in HK films, and it only appeared for less than one min.
I think Leslie Cheung was very good in the dramatic scenes, but he's not as good for the stunt scenes.
