Review of Mothlight (1963) by Petros T — 14 Aug 2010
One of the strangest and most surreal of Brakhage's short films found him literally attaching moth wings to his work print to achieve an effect that, in all likelihood, is exactly as you imagine it.
By modern standards it may seem fairly trivial, but it's hard to imagine the canon of American experimental films existing without it.
