Review of Mothlight (1963) by John M — 08 Jun 2010
Sort of like looking into a Magic Eye? Itâ??s just four minutes of leaves, bugs, and grass on celluloid. No camera work or anything, just the film countdown, the aforementioned, and something scrawled out at the end, probably the directorâ??s name.
You just stare into it, and you do see some weird imagery in the dirt; things that donâ??t really fit in with the earthiness. I really cannot say that I truly understand the intent of making this; I mean really, why do this? Just for the pure sake of being experimental? Thereâ??s really not much to it, but I always do at least appreciate people trying something new.
