Review of Misery (1990) by Jacob F — 16 Apr 2011
I consider this another great entry from the year 1990. This is because I find it truly frightening and it takes risks by focusing mostly on two characters. Also, James Caan and Kathy Bates deliver electrifying performances.
I find that the movie belongs more to Bates as she portrays a very unsettling villain who teeters between a kind and sweet person and a violent and abusive psycho. With that said, she successfully turns one of literatures most frightening villains into one of the greatest villains in cinema.
