Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Mark S — 10 Oct 2008
Maybe I'm just still high from the experience of watching this... but I might have a new favorite film. The film is loaded with images and situations that preserve a historical moment and world that would otherwise be lost, making it intimate and immediate, at significant danger to its makers.
These ordinary citizens display extraordinary resolve, and are legitimately heroic and inspiring.
