Review of Code 46 (2003) by Manuel F — 28 Jan 2007
My old roomie rented this thinking it was a dumb, cornball Tim Robbins sci-fi laughfest. We were instead blindsided by an intelligent, haunting arthouse dystopian portrait. Morton, as always, is in the freaking zone at all times, and her silent performance in the Coldplay-scored final sequence grabs a foothold in your cerebellum and refuses to cede it.
An underappreciated gem...
