Review of Blue State (2007) by Angie W — 01 Jul 2008
Okay, if you are crossing the border into Canada anywhere from British Columbia to Saskatchewan, the chances of being greeted by a French border guard are about zero.
The only good thing about this movie was the funny quote that the fellow at Winnipeg city hall makes about there being a one way mirror all across the border that allows Canadians to see Americans, but when Americans look north, they see only themselves.
Everything else sucked. (Especially the part about the Vietnam draft dodger living in a wood cabin / shack. Oh please. Why not an igloo while we're at it?
Whoever wrote this has obviously spent very little time in Canada if at all.
Nice idea, bad film.
