Review of Umberto D. (1952) by R.a. L — 24 Jan 2009
A remarkable film by Vittorio de Sica about an elderly man who, in this later period of his life, is trying to scrape by each day. Don't want to say very much more, except that what you see feels very real and the film takes you in.
... one of the most stunning endings to any film I've seen.
