Review of Nashville (1975) by Eneil P — 16 Sep 2007
Utterly unique (is it a musical? a satire?) that the best way to describe it is Altmanesque. Altman impressively paints in a large canvas (there are over 20 interweaving characters) that feels personal and grand at the same time.
Lily Tomlin, Ronee Blakely, and Barbara Harris stand out. Keith Carradine's "I'm Easy" and the finale are unforgettable.
