Review of Mouchette (1967) by Morrussy K — 31 Aug 2007
A deeply moving poignant timeles classic by Robert Bresson, some of its images you may know from films such as The Dreamers, beautiful images of trapped and mistreated animals mirror the abuse, misery and pain inflicted on the little girl, this sounds depressing and ugly, yet its very beautiful and startling and once you see it through it will stay with you forever <3 a true classic, bresson is up there with the greats of world cinema bergman, resnais, truffaut, wong kar wai and lars von trier, etc.
