Review of Midnight Movie (2008) by Jerry B — 04 Jul 2009

A low-budget gore-fest that takes some of the genre cliches and adds a twist by playing with the concept of the "fourth wall." While the film could have benefited from a bigger budget and a tighter script, it's still better than most recent big-studio efforts.

The ending leaves the story wide open for a sequel. If we have to suffer through another "Final Destination" entry, Hollywood can find the cash to bring this story back for a second installment.

Fans of "Heroes" will want to look for Brea Grant, who played Daphne the "speedster.".
