Splendid film. Nothing overtly fancy or overdone here. A sweet and often times funny story about a shoe shine guy and the elements of his life over the span of a couple of weeks. This film is full of interesting, but not over the top, characters.
Definitely and homage to the works of John Pierre Melville. See this one at all costs...
