Review of Late Phases (2014) by Hillary M — 22 Mar 2015
There was a lot about this film I really liked. The old school feel being one of them. The interactions between the priest and Ambrosia give just a bit of depth to the film's theme of a society that has little time to care for its elders.
A film with a blind retiree as protagonist, how great an idea is that. Damici more than holds the screen, a man too gruffly determined to be upstaged by a monster. The humour his character brings to the film is very well delivered and again gave it the old school feel for me.
The monsters were a little campy as was the transformation but it worked.
