Werewolf movies aren't easy, I know that. And when doing one with a budget, you're usually left to keeping the wolves in the shadows while they prey upon their victims giving us snippets of visual information. Late Phases chose a different route and went full frontal disclosure with its monster's appearance. A choice that really was the only thing that really bothered me about the movie. Mind you, I am very forgiving of the werewolf genre. Being as limited as it is, I'll basically take what I can get. Unfortunately the wolves were laughable when on camera. Were I a denizen in the world of Late Phases and came in contact with a werewolf, I'd immediately laugh and tell this joker to take of his terrible costume.

Now aside from that, the movie was pretty darn cool! And all pretty much due to Nick Damici's role as the elderly man, Ambrose. I enjoyed his performance and basically chalk it up to the actor being a totally charismatic dude. I also appreciated his quickness in realizing that the creature he was dealing with was in fact, a werewolf. Opposed to the same typical routine of the hero in complete disbelief when coming to the realization that he is not dealing with a regular viscous animal.

I was also a little bummed with the rushed delivery of the who and why when we learned the identity of the wolf. Nonetheless, if you can forgive the god awful wolf costumes then I think you'll enjoy this werewolf movie.
