Review of Hello Herman (2012) by Cal D — 20 Mar 2013
In the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut tragedy comes Michelle Danner's new film, "Hello Herman." It tells the story of sixteen year old Herman Howards (Garrett Backstrom) and the fallout of the unthinkable horrors he perpetrates at his high school.
After the atrocity, Herman is willing to share his side of the story with his favorite blogger, Lax Morales (Norman Reedus). During a series of interviews, Lax discovers the reason behind Herman's extreme wrongdoing while remembering his own murky past.
At the same time, viewers are shown the aftermath of the crime and how public demands for retribution affect the final outcome. This must watch film will leave people stricken and remind everyone of the importance of reaching out to others.
