Review of Frontera (2014) by Roxanne R — 19 Dec 2014
Solid acting and very good film that compels viewers to discuss current immigration laws and what can be done to prevent illegal border crossings. It is a heated debate and this film explores some of that when a former Arizona Sheriff's (Ed Harris) wife (Amy Madigan) is accidentally killed after helping some illegals crossing the border.
Things are not what they seem and as you watch this film you will undoubtedly take sides but the fact remains that many lives are lost due to illegal border crossings and shady coyotes (middlemen initially helping the immigrants illegally cross the borders then stealing everything from them and keeping them captive in US soil).
We come across good and bad illegals crossing the borders, and we can see tensions mount along the residents of the area. The film is available on Netflix instant streaming in HD and recommended!
