Review of Contempt (1963) by Brianna W — 14 Oct 2007
A sad, funny, gorgeous account of the break-up of a marriage set against the fictional backdrop of a Fritz Lang production of The Odyssey. Beautiful widescreen photography, a soul-stirring George Delerue score and Godard's characteristic insights into love, life and the cinema combine to make this the best movie ever about the actual process of making movies.
