Review of Christine (2016) by Aw C — 11 Dec 2016
Both a thorough expose about mental illness, an exploration of women in the workplace, and the increase in "if it bleeds, it leads" journalism, Christine is the story of a small-town human interest reporter trying to survive in a world she is trapped in.
29 and living with her irresponsible mother, Christine has developed an unappreciated brilliance. Her mother dismisses her, her boss constantly berates her, and her crush at work is oblivious. Pushed to her limits, she makes a fateful decision to show everyone who she is.
