Knowing the story is true makes the ending all the more shocking and painful but doesn't gloss over the fact that this film is unbelievably boring. Rebecca Hall's performance is noteworthy but the character she plays is unlikable in personality despite her circumstances and the lack of interesting events in her life can be quite frustrating.

I don't see why the movie had to be so long on such little source material. It's easy to understand the critical acclaim but this drama just isn't for everyone I guess.
