Review of Burnt by the Sun (1994) by Rheannon K — 12 Jun 2007
One of my all time favourite movies. Absolutely heartbreaking and terrifying. Tragic to the nth degree. (Only fitting though, since it is commenting on such an immensly tragic time in history.) The young girl who plays the daughter is enchanting, her performance with her father (actually her father in real life also) is so rare and true.
.. almost as though the audience has snuck upon them by accident. Out of all the films on my list, this one touches my heart very deeply.
