Kubrick was one of the few filmmakers out there that stunned us not with explosions or with how shaky the camera was, but with how fluid the shots were and how breathtaking each frame was. Barry Lyndon is, at least in my opinion, his best shot film.

Emphasized with natural lighting, partly due to the NASA f.7 lens, and a very interesting story that does something a lot of films don't: takes its time.

This review of Barry Lyndon (1975) was written by on 05 Apr 2012.

Barry Lyndon has generally received very positive reviews.
