The critics hated it.... what do they know hmm? O it wasn't large budget but it was a REAL story.... of a REAL man.... and makes us appreciate that having faith... in whatever you believe.... can be life rewarding and fruitful.
Yeah... there is a bit of religion here... but look past the 'church' if that somehow offends you and watch the story of people believing in people and what can be accomplished. You'd have to be pretty jaded not to find the warmth in this movie and not to smile. It held my interest (love movies based on TRUE stories or lives) and I REALLY enjoyed it as did my teens, wife and both neighbors. Give it a shot (Hey... some of the wrestling scene are really amazing as well!). Simple movie... simple story of a man who does GOOD for his fellow man..... and.... it entertains. Do it!
