Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Aj O — 18 Aug 2016
It's no surprise that this is another triumphant retelling by Disney of the beloved classic tale. Today's generation of CGI is unbelievably solid as it has the capability to insert subtle character features in the animals to make them slightly resemble the actors who brought them to life.
Yet the story itself holds up in a time where it is not uncommon for effects-heavy movies to lose their grip on the story, the heart of the movie. I'd give this one a howling two thumbs up!
