Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Josh D — 07 May 2013
Scorese has the grit, grim and smog placed perfectly against the backdrop of 1970's New York in his magnum opus here. Deniro delivers a riveting performance as loner Travis Bickle looking for a niche for his lonesome and warped mind.
Misanthropic behavior ensues and the winner is the viewer in this extremely entertaining and thought-provoking tale of revenge turned into redemption. Enthralling and exciting but may leave you with a feeling of dread and confusion by the end credits.
