Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by David P — 12 Jun 2007
Those expecting to find answers to Suicide Circle's mysteries won't exactly find them in Noriko's Dinner Table. If anything, Noriko's Dinner Table purposely avoids the premise of its predecessor in order to focus on intensely personal events involving the characters of the film.
Unfortunately, the purpose of doing so may only become evident with the third movie. Until then, it's easy to write off the movie as trying too hard. The length of the film is simply too long for anyone who's looking for some prime entertainment.
If you haven't seen Suicide Circle, don't bother with Noriko's Dinner Table. Otherwise, go into the film with an open mind and prepare for more head-scratching.
