Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by Vaibhav W — 23 Jun 2011
I'm fairly torn on this one, while I feel it had intriguing ideas and good character development, the director had apparently never been taught the concept of show, don't tell. The climax is really the only time in the movie that it accomplishes an entire scene of real dialogue.
Watching it, I couldn't help wishing that the whole movie could've been like that scene instead of having constant narration for every personal thought or encounter. Still definitely fresh though.
