Review of M (1931) by Rebekah W — 29 May 2008
Its hard not to give it 5 out of 5 considering it was arguably the first film to use film-noir aspects, not to mention it was the first of the crime/drama/thriller genre. it was also fritz lang's first film using sound.
so with that aside, the film itself was still pretty fucking good. I have always somewhat been a peter lorre fan from shit like casablanca, maltese falcon ect, but he really showed a different style of acting and his final speech is hauntingly impressive.
overall it was one of the best films of all time. it was made in 1931 and is better than 95% of the shit nowadays. I dont know why I made this review so long.
