Review of Like Father, Like Son (2013) by Fong K — 29 May 2016
Hirokazu Koreeda's vision of a very dramatic situation is what makes this film so beautiful. Any other director could have gone for the tears or the screaming, but koreeda manages to get inside the real issue, not looking at the past but facing the near future, what should this parents do? this question is at the core of the films many other observations building an interesting essay about family.
Beautifully crafted, with solid performances this films proves why Hirokazu Koreeda is one of the best directors out there.
