Review of Like Father, Like Son (2013) by Eric C — 04 Jan 2016
What a hard choice to make...either decision would lead to potential heartache and complications. As I watched the movie, I kept thinking what I would do. Apart from the gripping premise, the film itself is enjoyable.
The performances from the two boys were compelling and heartbreaking. The movie tells the story with delicacy and subtlety. It explores the emotional landscape of the families vs the mechanics of dealing with the tragedy.
I read that they're making an American version of this story. Hard for me to imagine this story being told in such a subtle manner in an American milieu. I can imagine the Hollywood version will be replete with a lot more anger, crying, and histrionics.
