Review of Funny Games (1997) by Ian B — 18 Oct 2008
This movie seemed like your typical Haute Tension or Intensity type of thing, but the director Michael Haneke throws in a couple wild cards that seperates this movie from the mainstream. Notably he has a soundtrack that goes from classical music to grind/noise-core.
He also breaks the 4th wall but only with one main character. This is a major device within the film. Very brutal too. Very brutal.
