Review of Flakes (2007) by Alysia V — 04 Dec 2008

I'm a fan of Zooey Deschanel and she is the reason I wanted to watch this movie, and as usual, she was quirky, fun, unique and adorable. I loved her character and all the crazy, colorful outfits she wore were great! I'm not completely sold on Aaron Stanford and I kept wishing they would've gotten someone else to play his part, like perhaps Jason Schwartzman? I think he would've been suitable for the role.

Or Jared Leto? Anyways, I don't know, just someone else, because I also have to say that I was not a fan of Aaron's singing. I did think the story was a unique one and I like the concept and I liked how the couple worked through their difficulties throughout the movie rather than just giving up.

A quirky and cute film and one that I am definitely glad to have seen. I enjoy flicks like this.
